Weekend Wrap-Up: Duncanville High Stops Battering Offense, Texas Longhorns Prediction, and Cowboys get Homesick
It was an exciting sports weekend in then lone star state. Duncanville High School (6-0) went against Pearce High School (5-2) to get there half dozen win without losing. College football was not played, but there was plenty of discussions about the Texas longhorns (6-1) next game and the Dallas Cowboys (3-4) go to the state of the capital to face the Washington Redskins (4-2). And with this, we go:
Showing Discipline Against a Though Offense
On Saturday morning Duncanville High School (6-0) woke up as No.2 of the 6A area ranking after defeating Richardson Pearce High School (5-2) to a score of 49-7. In a game where the Panthers had 627 total yards on offense with Ja’ Quinden Jackson passing for 211 yards. With an opponent team who scored an average of 43 point per game Duncanville Defense only received 7 points. Tommy Cummings from SportsDayHs has more here.
They Would Win Next Game
The Texas Longhorns (6-1) football team will go against Oklahoma State (4-3) next weekend and they would have more time to practice for the game because of the break. Since, the Longhorns have a better record coming up to the game the people believe they can win with a total of 52 percent. In the past games between this two teams’ Oklahoma State has won the every game, but the Horns have a history of winning in Stillwater. Wescott Eberts from Burn to Orange Nation has more.
I Missed My Home
It was the Dallas Cowboys (3-4) 4th game to visit another team and this time it was the Washington Redskins (4-2) who ended up wining to a final score of 20-17. The Cowboys have a curse or get nervous on away game, but they had lost every visiting game of the season. This time Jim Tomsula, defensive line men coach from the Redskins had a plan on how to stop the Cowboys and it was to stop Ezekiel Elliot. Les Carpenter from the Washington Post has more here.
