Weekend Wrap-Up: Allen High School Do it Again, Texas Longhorns One Point to Over-Time, Houston Texans Tight Win

It was an exciting sports weekend in the Lone Star State. Allen High School (9-0) went against Prosper High School (7-2) to step in to the first place of their district. On Saturday, the Texas Longhorns (6-3) faced West Virginia (7-1) at home to regain their strength. Then, the Houston Texans travel to Colorado to gain a victory against the Denver Broncos (3-6). Along with that, away we go:

Secret to Become District Champions
Allen High School (9-0) ranked No.1 in district 9-6A should teach other district high schools on how to become district champions, after they defeated the visiting Prosper Eagles (7-2) No.4, 54-21. This victory made Allen win their thirteenth district champion in a row. With Raylen Sharpe, being the top rushing player in the game for Allen with 115 yards and scoring an 81 yard touchdown in the second half. Allen, would try to finish the season undefeated against Plano West next Thursday. David Wolman from the Star-Telegram has more here.

Longhorns in Decline
The Texas Longhorns (6-3) No.15, lose their second game in a row against West Virginia (7-1), who is now No.7 ranked in the poll after the 42-41 win. Mountaineers coach Dana Holgerson prefer to risk it all and go for the two point conversion to win the game instead of going to over-time. Even though the Horns lost Sam Ehlinger pass for 354 yards with a three touchdown in the air and one in the ground. Wescott Eberts from the burn to orange nation has more here.

When Would the Streak End for the Texans?
Difficult night, in the Mile High Stadium for the Houston Texans (6-3) who faced the Denver Broncos (3-6), 19-17 was the final score. It gave the Texans their sixth win in a row after they lost their first three games of the season. Ka’imi Fairbairn made the final 37 yard field goal that let the team to a victory after they were losing 17-16. Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson, had 213 passing yard with two touchdowns.
